TI83p Calculator !

Posted by Starburst997 - November 28th, 2007

Anyone here is a fan of this calculator ? ;)

I remember playing games on it during all the time I was at high school :D, I even learned assembly only to create my own tetris game on it (named tetrisjd lol, the TIbasic language wasn't powerful enough :S ! and yeah... I know there was already ton of tetris games available !!!)

I also made a clone of Super Soviet Missile Mastar but I lost the file because of a crash :'( !

So... what were your favorite games ? Anyone here already coded some games on it ???

everyone in my school has these, and we all have like a million games. i cheated on my chem test cause i had the periodic table on mine, and my friend made a program that rates how hot ur mom is, and its always different variations of "UR UGLY AS HELL"

Haha good times. My TI got jacked last year by some dumbass, so I don't have one(1337 math failage =[) but I always play Puzzle Frenzy on my friend's. That and Blockdude...oh man.

Woah, it would have been cool to see SSMM on there. :)

It was awesome, I didn't completly finish it but it was playable ;). Maybe someday I'll redo it, it is always a challenge to code in assembly :D and a pretty satisfying experience !

I kind of like that block dude game. I could code a game if I wanted to. I just don't want to. Ya.

I used to code in TI BASIC.
Alas, though. Mind-rotting /b/, mountain dew, and sleepless nights have whithered away all my knowledge of it.

Right now I have exactly 43 different games on my ti-84 plus (yes I did a count), most of which are coded in assembly, because basic sucks ass.

There was a simple 'ski' game getting passed around.

I made a full 'rpg' where the 'main map' was a pair of co-ordinates, but the 3 dungeons had 3d puzzles (you went through different floors and if you stepped on a crack, fell down - necessary for getting to parts of lower floors).

Still, assembly language? Tetris? You're a far better coder than I hope to ever be.

That looks awesome ! Do you have a link to download your RPG ?

I never seen anything like that.
It looks like a glithed version of tetris or something

It is my own version of Tetris :), I wanted the graphics to be different from the usual completely black pieces !

Way to cheat on shit:

1) Make a fake program called "dist" or something.

2) Prgm > Edit > "dist"

3) Type in notes

4) WOrks Every time. Last year's Salutatorian (2nd in Class) taught me that shit.

:) I succeed many exams that way !

yeah, all the kids at my school had those. I never took any classes where I needed one so I never got to touch one.

I got that one. I'm playing tetris and super mario often, and with Mario I'm even making my own levels, everyone thinks they're quite hard!

That's cool. I've been using the TI83 all throughout school, but I've never really played many games on it simply because they always clear them before big tests and I don't take the time to put them back.

That's cool that you programmed for it. I never too enough time to learn any assembly to write my own games for it, although I always wanted to.
